Hi! I'm Mattie and I'm a storyteller, working in Social Media, Content Creation, and Modeling. My portfolio includes documentary shorts, music videos, fashion films, and narrative projects. I'm social media savvy, working to support brands and agencies. I bring a relatable humor to entertain as well as engage. I thrive on challenges to tell fascinating stories in compelling ways. I am a micro influencer with close to 10k followers on Instagram, 4.2k on TiktTok, and 2.7k on Youtube.

 

I began my storytelling journey watching Hollywood films like "Singing in the Rain," "On the Town," and "Vertigo." And of course, I was charmed by the magical world of Disney films. I also find inspiration in museums and immersing myself in history. These experiences opened new creative perspectives and expanded my imagination. My work, then, focuses on re-connecting us to child-like wonder and joy. At the age of 11, I began filming YouTube videos and my early cinematography and editing were all self taught, enabling me to write, direct and edit my award-winning short film, A Distant Vicinity.

I grew up and currently live in New York. I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design, with a BA degree in Film and TV. Since college, I have served as Videographer and Social Media Strategist at the National Arts Club, as Filmmaker for F3 Ventures (Funding Female Founders), as well as content creator and social media manager for BirdiePhotoCo, showcasing wedding storytelling, Find Me Now The Label, a family owned business store, and Slate Brands, a beauty, fragrance, and skincare company. I also directed and filmed a 15 second advertisement for Bideawee Animal Shelter. A particularly important moment came in May 2023 when the ad was showcased on a video billboard in Times Square.
